Arisekola Buried In Ibadan 20.06.2014,
The late Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Abdul-
Azeez Arisekola, was buried in his home in Ibadan,
Oyo State, western Nigeria on Friday, 20 June,
2014 amid tears by family members, friends and
associates.
It could be recalled that the late Arisekola died in a
London Hospital on Wednesday and his remains
were brought to Adamasingba Stadium in Ibadan at
exactly 10.05am today for prayer.
News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, reports that after the
prayer led by the Chief Imam of Ibadan, Haruna
Suara, the corpse was taken to his Oluwokekere
House, Ibadan, for interment.

It was gathered that President Goodluck Jonathan
was represented at the burial by the Minister State
for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro, the Minister of Police
Affairs, Jelili Adesiyan and Chairman of FERMA, Jide
Adeniyi.
Also present were the APC National Leader, Bola
Tinubu; Industrialist, Kola Daisi; businessman, Oba
Otudeko; and former Inspector General of Police,
Musilu Smith.
Governors Rauf Aregbesola of Osun and Ibikunle
Amosun of Ogun, were also there.
* Children of the late Arisekola
Former Arch-Bishop of Ibadan, Alaba Job; Primate Ola
Makinde and Abimbola Fashola, wife of Lagos State
Governor, also attended.
The National Missioner, Ansar-u-deen Society of
Nigeria, Abdurahaman Ahmad, who ministered at the
occasion, implored the rich to emulate the
philanthropic virtues of the late Arisekola.
"Arisekola was generous, friendly and
accommodating to all and sundry, especially the
downtrodden", he said.
Also Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State extolled
the virtues of the late religious leader, describing him
as a philanthropist of philanthropists, who served the
poor and also helped the rich during his lifetime.
The remains of Mr. Arisekola were laid to rest at 11.15
a.m. in his Oluwokekere residence in Bashorun,
Ibadan.
Meanwhile, security operatives had a hard time
controlling over one thousand people who forced
their way into the premises with many falling and
sustaining minor injuries.
The Government of Oyo State on Thursday declared
declared seven days mourning for the late Arisekola-
Alao
who died from cancer at the age of 69.
