Speaking in Awka on Friday, the ex-international also
pointed out that the team needed a change of
approach in their general performance in order to
secure the victory.
He advised the Eagles to effectively make use of its
flanks to open up the opponents' defence, and
warned team against playing a tip-tap pattern which
they adopted against Iran, that led to their goalless
draw.
Okagbue urged the Eagles to go all out for goals
and redeem the image of Africa at the ongoing
World Cup.
"Approaching our games against Bosnia and
Argentina with the same tactics will spell doom for
us. I am hopeful they will do better in their
subsequent games. They need to correct these
mistakes and ensure that we qualify from the group"
Okagbue said.
Similarly, another fan in Brazil, Jude Obikwelu, who is
also the chairman of Anambra FA said, he was very
optimistic that the Super Eagles would qualify from
the group, and urged Nigerians to pray and support
the team.
"I am in high spirit that we shall beat Bosnia and
qualify for second round. Let's pray for our Super
Eagles, after all in AFCON 2013, they were written off,
but they went ahead to win the competition. Let us
stand behind them this time" he said.
